First to answer a few questions so this all makes sense: What is Bitkins?
Bitkins is an electronic music label. Call it more of a community project. Bitkins is a group of like minded electronic musicians releasing their albums and ep's in both digital download and hard copy form. How much are the albums you ask? The digital downloads are free... The hard copies are with VERY minimal markup. They cost 3 dollars with the extra quarter or so on the side going towards server expenses.
But wait... can I join in? Of course you can! And it's quite simple. Just use the contact form on this site or e-mail pextris @ bitkins.com with a sample of some of your music and some brief info. Like I said this is a group of likeminded EM people.. no big head honchos or BS. If you are on the label, and you need help designing and formatting an album cover, or converting those album files, just ask! We are all here to help each other get our musics out there.
Keep in mind this site is very new and will be evolving at a rapid pace. WE hope that you will join in on this concept. We invite you to join us on our IRC server irc.makethemusic.org in #bitkins and #makethemusic. (Hey what other music label owns their own frigging IRC server?).
The new version of Bitknis will be coming soon. We will soon be offering a site with more functions and dynamics that will integrate our releases, irc server, forums, radio station, etc. Check back often!
